As you may have guessed, ours is the business of movement.Like the dynamic web graphics that have made us a household name (almost anyway), we're powered by a restless passion to move ideas, break new ground and explore the unexplored.
Established in 1999, Kinetic Interactive is a part of the Ad Planet Group, the largest locally owned advertising company in Singapore. Our first project involved a job for Pestbusters. At the expense of a horde of really nasty bugs, the project went on to win a bronze at the Singapore Creative Circle Awards later that year. And well... it has been a wild ride ever since.
Our next conquest would see us laying claim to our first Gold Award for the Concave Scream (a local band) website in the prestigious One Show Interactive Awards in New York. Incidentally, all the members of Concave Scream are now members of our very gung-ho crew today. Currently boasting 14 sentient beings, our roster had also included two canine cadets and the very best interns that the Space Academy could provide.
In 2001, the industrious effort put in by every single crewman was again rewarded with more awards. This time, it was the turn of the projects we completed for Aamer Taher Design Studio, Lorgans Retro Store, Humpack Oak. We were the only Asian agency to bag any of the coveted "Pencils" at the One Show Interactive Awards. And to top it all off, we were the only Interactive Agency in the world to bag two golds! We really never thought having fun would get us so far.
Hot on the heels of our success, Kinetic Design and Advertising was set up in January 2001. Originally intended to supplement our web creatives in the print medium, it has since gained its own independent footing. Armed with the same philosophy that has pushed our interactive design arm, Kinetic Design and Advertising has raised our profile, gained well-known clients and garnered its fair share of awards.
Our creed is simple. We're here to break the barriers that hinder marketing communication and to explore the creative and conceptual limits of our projects. Kinetic first started with 3 individuals wondering if the majority of the websites out there couldn't have been designed differently. With a bit of thought. With a bit of flair. After all, why shouldn't the web experience involve greater interactivity to give end users some meaning when they explore sites?
Focusing on front-end design, Kinetic Interactive is dedicated to helping our clients reach out to their clients by strategically harnessing the latest in web technology. Already well known as "flash gurus", we believe in creating a uniquely creative online experience that is customised for each client. Similarly, Kinetic Design and Advertising is driven by the same passionate belief that creativity can be transformed into arresting creatives that stop people in their tracks. Our design and advertising arm enables a web campaign to be extended into the other platforms of traditional advertising and marketing and vice versa. Always without losing sight of the key messages and the brand image. After all, we take our work and our clients' welfare very seriously. And while we champion creativity, we've always ensured that our work functions well for our clients. And that means we're not some flash in the pan outfit. If all of this sounds deadly serious, it is. But that has never stopped us from having the fun that we have in the things we do.
Part of the fun has always been taking part in local and international awards. We pitch ourselves against the very best so that we can always get the very best out of ourselves. It's part and parcel of the passion that drives us. Fun, passionate, creative and always on the move. That's us in a nutshell.
It may seem strange but we never did have a long-term game plan right from the start. We've always believed in meeting any challenge head on and to give our very best to the work we do. We're fortunate and thankful to have a team of passionate people. And we're also glad to have a list of clients that have provided us with many opportunities, as well as faith, understanding and creative freedom.
We'll continue to work harder at what we love most, i.e. to have loads of fun working. As for where tomorrow will bring us, we'll let the creative impulse and our passion be our guides. After all, there're a lot of planets still unconquered. Check back in a nanosecond. Because we'll probably be somewhere else rescuing the galaxy.
